Hi, I'm Warwick Bayne, a software developer based in the beautiful city of Wellington, New Zealand. I work mainly with Microsoft technologies for a large IT vendor. I have an interest in all things tech, with my main interests being Security, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and software development best practice. I hold a MCTS in CRM 2011: Customization and Configuration and am working towards a MCSD in web application development.
In 2012, I completed a Bachelor of Information Technology at Otago Polytechnic. As a part of this course, I learnt about software development and the various methodologies that can be used to a contribute to the making of a successful project.I also learnt about database design, networking, system administration and design patterns. As a part of the third year, I was a part of a year long project for the Dunedin Thunder Ice Hockey Team, developing a tracking system to provide telemetry to players and coaches. During this course I also completed an additional Certificate in Networking Administration- an extra qualification that follows the Cisco CCNA curriculum.
Outside of technology, I am a keen sailor. I have sailed a wide variety of boats- from small dinghys to large ships. Through sailing I have been involved in the local yacht club committee as a junior rep.
